Constellation in the Flag (2020- 2022)

During the pandemic, I spent time traveling across the country, mostly as a companion who knew the way for family driving or moving coast to coast. These landscapes represent a deep connection to the land that I gained during these travels. They allow me to reconcile the beauty and preciousness of the land, as well as the scars and parasitic nature of American infrastructure. Moreover, people of color have long been relegated from conversations on environmental issues and land usage in America. These are my perspectives.
